New Canon 24-70mm F2.8L II Finally announced!

Canon's recent announcement has seem to have gotten everyone panties a little wet. Couple new IS primes and the 24-70mm f2.8L II. Which is around $1,000 more the original lens.
Looks to me like the main difference is a new lens construction and new coatings. The original 24-70mm was a bit soft lens to be considered a Canon L lens. Maybe these new coatings and construction will fix this. Let's hope.
