Here is something that I've recently discovered that I find handy. After always getting annoying by my camera strap, especially when shooting video I've ended up just taking it off and not having one.
This is a great little device. It attaches to the bottom of your camera which you attach your strap to.
Makes running and gunning much easier and more convenient.
Check it out for sure.

Zacuto DSLR Cage, Jag 35 Cage & View Factor Cage

Cages are very useful. Why? Because they give you multiple mount points for accessories. Accessories like proper mics, sound recording devices, monitors etc…The Canon DSLR as it is has just a hot shoe mount that I wouldn’t mount much on at all. If you are operating one band especially these cages are incredible useful due to these multiple mount points.

For this piece, we’ll take a look at using the new Ultra Keyer in Premiere Pro with some Canon 7D footage. What’s great about this is the fact that the green screen was unevenly lit, and with minimal effort, I’m able to pull a rather impressive key, literally in seconds.

I recorded this with Chris Jones at Ealing Studios earlier in the year for the new Guerilla filmmaker pocketbook which is out now and really is a must buy. There is a large section in it all about DSLR filmmaking. It’s the new version of the famous green book but updated enormously and a nice pocket size!
I am hoping to making the Launch on 6th May in London at 7pm if I can finished my shoot in time!

Shameless plug time…but I just saw all these gorgeous new products on the Zacuto web site so I had to mention them. I have only seen the much awaited Z-Finder Jr and the new mounting frame and these are great. Obviously I am a friend of Zacuto through Critics and Filmfellas and an affiliate with this website. Any sale going through my banners helps support the site immensily!
